Thank you for visiting us and showing your interest in YWAM Bridge Network Eastern shore. Located in the peaceful town of Nassawadox, a strategic and key location in the history of the United States.

Native American tribes, who were a part of the Powhatan confederation, before the English presumptuously claimed the region in 1607 as theirs, were the original inhabitants of the Eastern Shore region.  In 1619, twelve short years later, the first Africans arrived to the shores of Virginia, England’s first North American colony.

The fate and future of these three people groups and of what was to become the United States of America intersected on this Virginian shores.  An ideal region to live and experience the Gospel of the Kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and to become ambassadors of that Kingdom to the nations impacting their marketplaces.

Land between two waters.

Nassawadox - Eastern Shore

The town of Nassawadox is peaceful, welcoming, a perfect and ideal location for what God is giving us as an assignment. It is located between the Atlantic to the east and the Chesapeake Bay to the west, and is linked to the main land by a 17 mile long bridge tunnel. In Algonquian language, Nassawadox means “land between waters.” Isolated from the noise and distractions, it is the perfect place to meaningfully engage with your Creator, discover your place and role in this world and actively pursue your calling.

Nassawadox is similar to Nazareth and her region of Galilee, which were both looked down upon, despised; called the land of great darkness; the region and shadow of death; and, the mindset of the time was that nothing good was expected to come from there. But, despite all, God moved His Son Jesus Christ into the neighborhood, brought a great light and the rest is History. Jesus made the region of Galilee and the town of Nazareth popular, famous and a spotlight.
